Overview

Adventure and accountability — built into every pixel.

Frontier Cadets needed more than a website. They needed a digital environment that could carry the weight of their mission — outdoor exploration, character development, and youth leadership — while being safe, welcoming, and genuinely useful for both kids and the families who trust the organization. Drawing inspiration from the values of the Boy Scouts of America, the design translates timeless ideals into a modern, mission-driven digital experience.

Strategic Objectives

01

Value Driven Messaging

Translate the spirit of the Scout Oath and Law into a unique “Frontier Cadet Code” — language and visuals that resonate with modern families while honoring the organization’s core values of service, leadership, and outdoor adventure.

02

Safety-Centric UX

Design a privacy-first interface that protects the identity of youth members while still allowing for meaningful community engagement — building trust with parents and guardians through intentional, responsible design choices.

03

Community Over Commerce

Deliberately exclude e-commerce elements to keep the platform’s focus entirely on mission — service, skill-building, and connection — rather than transactions. Every page decision reinforces the organization’s purpose, not a product.

Areas of Work

01

Brand Identity

Developed a brand identity system that balances the rugged spirit of outdoor adventure with the responsibility of youth leadership — establishing a visual language that families trust and young members are proud to represent.

02

Website Design

Designed a full website built around the organization’s mission — structured to communicate values clearly, guide families through the membership experience, and foster a sense of community without commercial distraction.

03

Privacy-First UX

Architected the user experience around the safety of youth members — making deliberate decisions about what information is displayed, how community features are structured, and where appropriate boundaries protect young identities online.

04

Messaging & Voice

Crafted a distinct “Frontier Cadet Code” — translating the values-driven language of the Scout tradition into original messaging that feels current, purposeful, and authentic to a modern youth audience and their families.

Mobile Design Process

Two designs. One mission

For a youth organization, mobile isn’t optional — it’s where families live. Rather than relying on automatic responsive behavior, the desktop and mobile experiences were each designed independently in Elementor. The same mission-driven clarity and privacy-conscious structure were purpose-built for smaller screens, ensuring that parents researching on their phones and kids exploring on tablets get an experience that was intentionally designed for them — not just scaled down.

  • Desktop layout built for full storytelling and community presence

  • Navigation and UX re-structured for thumb-friendly family use
  • Mobile layout rebuilt from scratch in Elementor’s mobile settings

  • Privacy-first design approach maintained consistently across both platforms

Featured Focus

Design with Purpose

Every decision tied back to the mission

This project required holding a clear design philosophy throughout — not just making something that looks good, but making something that earns the trust of parents and inspires young people to show up.

  • Original “Frontier Cadet Code” messaging system rooted in values-driven language for modern families

  • Privacy-first UX architecture protecting youth identity throughout the site experience

  • Intentional exclusion of commerce elements — keeping the platform mission-focused at every touchpoint

  • Dual-platform Elementor build ensuring the mission lands equally on desktop and mobile
